How to eject a disk or USB memory?

There is no doubt that Windows is currently the best operating system with which we can give life to a PC especially after the release of version 7, and especially if the features mentioned include the new version, Windows 8. But despite all the advances in your code, you can still become somewhat capricious, and simple tasks such as unplugging a USB or a memory card can become a nightmare. This article looks at a simple way to ensure that the system will return the control of the storage units and devices connected to our computer.
It is a well-established tradition that at the end of copy, move or delete files or documents on a memory card, flash drive or external hard drive, you press on the icon of the device with the right mouse button to select “Eject” to the system disconnects the device and can be removed from the port without any problem later.
For those who do not know, this procedure ensures that Windows ends all tasks are being done with the device, i.e. the read or write operations on the files it contains. If we remove the device without notifying the system port, most likely, damage or corruption of data in files that is stored in it will take place.
However, far from allowing us to remove the device, sometimes the operating system prevents us from proper extraction, presenting a notification window with the following: “The device is in use. Close any program or window that may be using the device and try again later.
In general, one of the first things that can solve our problems is the corroboration that any program or file you are accessing the device. Closing the program or file probably fixes the problem.
In the event that the above tricks do not work, we can always fall back on the shutdown button and disconnect the USB cable from the device, which will always work, but considerable time is lost, especially when it comes to working hours. In that event, this situation is repeated many times.
It is also possible in some scenarios the situation is repeated several times in the day, and stop our work with the consequent lack of productivity.
For these cases, nothing better than a small application called Unlocker, a free utility available for Windows 32 or 64 bits which allows us to release files and storage units with just one click.
Unlocker is used to unlock units, we move to the window of “Computer”, select the removable drive that we want to unlock and the right mouse button select “Unlocker” from the menu.
At this point we will present a window with all files and programs that are accessing the drive at that time.
In this window we have available two buttons, “Kill” and “Unlock”, which eliminates the first and second unlock process allowing for rapid release.
