Therefore, you can’t just leave your Android smartphone unlocked especially if your media gallery is filled with photos and videos that you don’t want others to see. Open Google Play Store then search for an app called “Hide Pictures in Vaulty”. Download and install this app on your Android device and once you’re done, launch the app from your app drawer.

Accept the app’s terms and conditions and then create your own “Vaulty” pin or password. Make sure that your password is strong enough to protect your vault from unauthorized users. Just don’t choose a password that is very difficult to remember.

Re-type and verify your password then choose your security question. Once you’re done, you will be automatically redirected to your media vault. Your media vault is a private place where you can hide all of your secret photos and videos. No one is allowed to access your vault unless, of course, you permit them to do so.

To hide your pictures and videos, just tap the “Hide Pictures & Videos” button from your media vault. After which, carefully choose the photos and videos that you want to hide. You can hide as many files as you like plus there’s no limit in file size.

Once you’ve made your selection, click the lock icon that is located on the top-right corner of your file selection screen. After that, the app will automatically move your selected files to your media vault. To see the files that you’ve hidden, just press “Done” then tap the back button.

(Optional) To unlock the files the files that you’ve hidden, just click on them and then press the “unlock” or “unhide” button. You can find this button on the top-right corner of your file selection screen.

So that’s it. If you’ve managed to follow the steps correctly, then you won’t have any troubles hiding your secret files. Furthermore, your hidden files will remain in your vault for as long as you want. They also won’t appear on your file manager and media gallery.
